Two bald men look for answers.
A short film I did with Keith Haskel, my first appearance as a character on his site. It was fun to co-direct a movie and I think the end result is fun. Find out what happens when Norm Murray "IS DEAD"...
The script for this movie was written by myself and Ryan Kinsella, over a year ago, to be a representation of a normal conversation we might have. After many revisions and ideas, such as these two people having the conversation while hurtling through space, I decided to rewrite the script as if they were superheroes. I was then puzzled as to how I would make this as my Studio final. I started coming up with ideas on the blue-screen and with the support of Professor Robby Benson my idea came to fruition. I cast Keith Haskel as myself and Kevin Austin as Ryan and tried to keep it fresh by bringing out the eccentricities of their own comedic styles. I really hope you enjoy this movie as much as I did in the countless hours I spent making it.
While I didn't write the script I did interpret and shoot it. Thanks to the help of Michelle Girolami, E Talley II, and Alexis Fedor as the wonderful actors and the rest of my crew this project turned out really well. Before reading the script I set a goal for myself, no matter what it read I would add a pirate and that's what I did.
My first film at NYU and in NYC. This is a silent film so don't freak out if you don't hear sound. I was trying to show off using the matte box to create some fun special effects as well as do something simple and have fun. Matt Posorske pulls off a wonderful dancing sequence in a way only he can deliver.
This is my third film made at NYU. You can read all about it from my blog, its the one I got an A on but I wasn't sure why. The visuals are pretty nice and once again there is no sound. Again Matt delivers a comical performance in an oddly homoerotic way. This is made all the wierder knowing I directed this in a skirt.
This film, my 4th at NYU, was a hit when I showed it in class, despite how I thought it would be recieved. It is basically a summation of how my brain works, despite the high number of stumuli it recieves I'm still distant. This film does have sound so if you can't hear it, turn the speakers up you dummy.
This is my 5th film at NYU and my final. I had to shoot it twice to get all the special effects right, and still some of them didn't come out. We shot it in 115 degree temperatures, it was rather insane. Anyway I'm rather pleased with how it turned out. They cut the bottom of the frame in the transfer if anyone is wondering why you might not see his feet in all the shots. Again this is a silent film, use your imagination and enjoy the wonderful Matt Posorske.
The Five Angry Guys ultimate masterpiece, this film was 2 months in the making. We broke untold school laws and rules of decency in making this movie. Guns on school grounds, breaking and entering, driving on school grounds... everything. The script isn't anything spectacular but its all about the sheer scope and music matching.
This was my final movie that I made at Severna Park High School and quite possibly my favorite. It was written and filmed in a very short time span but I just love the humor. I've dreaded putting it online for some time. It is currently the longest movie I've ever made and it will probably stay that way for awhile. I plan on rewriting it and remaking it at NYU eventually, or over the Summer. Enjoy!
Made by Monkey In A Frying Pan (the newly redesigned name for the new Five Angry Guys) in a day, this short video is good for a laugh especially if you know the Five Angry Guys' classic video Never Left Behind. Steve Mason makes his dramatic return to the screen for a good laugh.

This is a Punky Junkies movie that continues my tradition of making music videos of Styx songs. This was a fun one to shoot as the cops arrived because someone called the cops on me for impersonating a police officer. The guy shooting with the camera didn't manage to capture it on tape and it still haunts me that we couldn't get that footage, as I broke a "federal crime." On another note, this video showcases just how terribly skinny I was in high school in Mrs. Wood's crossing guard uniform.
"A perfect way to showcase how gay everyone who participated in this is."
-Jesse Kornbluth (9 year teacher at NYU who discovered Chris Columbus, the director)
The second Five Angry Guys movie and another instant classic. This was made with a couple different boats and a floating raft. Most of the danger came from the fact that we tied the raft up to the motor boat and were pulling it behind us while filming. The raft was rather small so filming the close-ups was especially risky because Buddy had to dance with the camera also on the raft with him. One mistake meant the camera dropping into the water. There are two 1 frame flashes of different pictures see if you can find them they are rewarding to see if you can get them. Enjoy!
After the filming of Come Sail Away, Alex and Buddy throw down until the loser faces the facts and has to jump off the boat.
"If I had been in this video, I'd probably be complete and would be content to die at this moment."
-Thad Bradley-Lewis
"This is the coolest thing ever made in Severna Park High School."
-Kaitlyn Murphy
This movie is from the Monkey in a Frying Pan group. We got bored in class one day and decided we would dance around the school. What makes this so great is that it is pretty much a continuous shot and is completely unplanned. No one asked us any questions or tried to stop us as we danced through classes and the main office. What really makes it great is to think that there is no music playing while we did it, it was all added later and yet it all seems to match up.
The Monkey in a Frying Pan group is back in the less known sequel/part 2 of the Severna Park High School infamous dance video. This time Alex, Buddy, Dan, and BJ dance their way through classrooms and hallways set to Rob Zombie... it even culminates into joining the dance class!
All we are is dust in the wind. The Five Angry Guys set out to make a better music video in one class period than the students in the class make in a month. Did we succeed? I don't know, but I love how we each have a different part of the chorus.
The Five Angry Guys had become the group Monkey In A Frying Pan and created this video for Warren's class. He needed to find a way to creatively sell the TI-83 Graphing Calculator and this is what we came up with. While I'm not in this film I participated in writing many of the jokes and most the time I have the camera. I believe that the reason that Alex has that bruise on his face was that he was playing football and got kicked in the face and he broke his face. Something like that.
Alex gets followed by a creepy man and can't seem to escape his echoing call of "serauqs eseehc," but is all what it seems?
Ever wanted to talk like a Wookiee? The Punky Junkies show you that now it is a possibility.
What happens when the News announces that gravity has suddenly turned off. This is my final film in Nice. The whole thing was made in MAYA, eventually I plan on adding sound. I hope you enjoy, this took me a long, long time.
In Tonde, France we were asked to create a film that would reflect a videogame utilizing the tight streets of the city. With the help of Laura D'Antoni and Carley Jacobson I created this.
This is my first 3D animation I've ever done. I shot the footage in the background in Antibes, France. The goblin was designed by me in MAYA based on a sketch I did of a man in Antibes with exaggerated features.
This video of a marketplace corner in Nice is compiled from different hours of the day. The different feeds were compiled to form a segmented picture of the corner. There are over 30 different video feeds to make up the whole thing.
This was my final project for Honors Forum my Freshman year at UMBC. The assignment was to go to a museum, in our case the Native American Museum at the Smithsonian, with your group and do a report on it. I whipped this up even though we never got into the museum. Enjoy. What is your favorite squid?
This is my final Video 1 film, which I have dubbed Experimental Video class. This documentary took me countless hours to edit and film and to this day is what I consider to be my best movie, well as of August 2, 2006. It got me into the 6th Annual College Film/Video Bake-Off sponsored by the Creative Alliance MovieMakers (CAmm.) While I didn't win the festival I placed as a finalist amongst other grad students at UMBC while I was only a sophmore undergrad. It was a great experience and I hope you really enjoy the movie. It really is one you need to see on a larger screen so if you see me ask me to burn you a copy or let you borrow my copy of it. Enjoy!
This movie was made on Labor Day, 2004. I wanted to do this ending for quite some time but the lead up idea was quite boring. Until I added a soundtrack, the movie got its needed pump to keep it entertaining.
Warning Inappropriate Material
This is just the beginning of a new series of films. It took about half an hour to make and turned out to be quite hilarious.
This was filmed after Steve stole a campaign video from George Bush's website. I was currently running for Honors College Council Freshman Class Representative (longest title ever) and decided to make this commercial as a way to get people to know me, as we were all new to each other and had no idea who to vote for. I figured if I edited myself into Bush's video and said exactly what he said (Paige is Laura Bush) it'd make for an entertaining video. When I posted it on the Honors College forum I got all kinds of negative comments. This upset me because I was trying to have fun and was actually doing something to get my name out there. So I made my own website to put it on, you can see that here.
This movie was a follow-up to the first, and was a ton more fun to make. It met the same criticism as the first on the forums. I still think it is really funny and see if you can spot all the rhino references that first began in this video. Unfortunately I didn't win the election but in the end it doesn't really matter, I had more fun running anyhow.
This is part of the first episode of HEY U! my TV show from UMBC that failed miserably due to all the politics that go into producing a show. It is very roughly edited but amidst all that there are some good laughs to be had, especially if you understand desk-staffers.
The short lived show HEY U!, at UMBC, had to start somewhere and here is that somewhere. The pilot was shown to demonstrate our interests and what we planned on doing with the show. I hope you enjoy!
This is my final film project from UMBC. I was trying to create a film noire style movie about an assassin and one of his jobs. The point is that all the enemies are faceless until the end when we realize that these jobs go on over and over again like a Moebius strip. This transfer is a darker version of an already dark film so it makes it hard to see. I am not the happiest about how it turned out but it could be far worse, my NYU films made up for it. Again this one is silent so its not just you, its everyone who can't hear it.
Lauren Koppelman travelled to NYC in 2006 to conduct an interview with Dan Gvozden. He describes his turn to bull fighting in Manhattan and the labors that it takes to continue in a dying field. Note: This is a serious interview where Lauren asked me to just be myself. This is what came out. None of it is scripted, I'm just making it up as I go along, even the blanket. Its amazing that she doesn't laugh for so long.
I was the Script Supervisor and Documentarian on Keith's color-sync equivalent. He claims this is the final Keith Haskel and his father film, I don't know how much I believe him. The best part is that Keith eats like 20 bananas randomly on the NYC street without telling the vendor.
I filmed this on the set of U R What U Eat. It started with handing out flyers and saying, "Beastiality! Man on dog, cow on man," and evolved into this. Very funny.
This is a commercial for NYU's College Democrats that I was the Director of Photography for. Another night well spent.
The AWESOME launch of Nintendo Wii in NYC Times Square Toys R Us. Free hats, ski caps, shirts, and 5000 Wiis to go around.
